dim sum and conversation
recently, i had dim sum in chinatown with some friends. the politically correct term for Chinatown in Seattle is the International District. however, if you're hip to the game, you say "the ID" because (I've been told) in Chinatown, errr, the ID, there are more than just Chinese businesses and people. there are also Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese folk too, hence the more inclusive term?: International District. Regardless, of the confusing name changes and generally annoying Seattle pc-ness (sorry peoples, I'm sticking with Chinatown), stop by the fantastic restaurant called Hong Kong next time you're in Chinatown. my friends Annie, Carlos, Jim, Dennis and I went to try the delicious Chinese morsels. old Chinese woman push carts with dishes steaming over with goodness. if you're into shrimp, they got some dim sum with that. if you're into crispy egg and shrimp, they've got some delicious mix for you too.
