you got on the bus last night. i didn't see your face, only a hint of your shadow which was six feet tall--your height in real life. you chose the seat behind me, of course, one breath in and immediately i knew. it was that familiar scent of spicy candy, the kind the makes your mouth freeze, it was that residue of cigarettes mixed with men's cologne. the griminess of the bus made my nose twist, but your scent was seducing. every time i smell you, i want to smoke cigarettes too. after dancing in your scent today, i desired a smoke even more.
its no surprise you visited me, subtly you passed me by. i received an email from you not long ago, and a phone call yesterday. "alright kid". i smile. after being absent for a year, you getting on that bus was exactly what i needed. i absorbed as much as i could of you last night. i almost missed my stop with eyes closed, inhaling you was dreamy. i want to see you soon. miss you.
