new york has a way of putting you in a real life-sized blender and mixing you the fuck up with just about any type of person that exists in the world. and when i say fuck i mean fuck, because new yorkers and profanity go together like mexico and tacos. Here are the top 5 words I heard while in NYC visiting with friends:

3) Jesus Christ (not cool #1)
4) goddamn (not cool # 2)
5) get the fuck outta hirrrr
some highlights of the trip
1) meeting my soul sister's firey gramma
2) eating Dominican food
3) seeing Black people speak Spanish
4) seeing Brown people (after living in the 4th whitest hood in the nation)
5) eating Columbian food
6) riding the subway
7) hearing a rendition of Bob Marley's I don't wanna wait in vain for your love on the subway
8) taking pictures in Spanish Harlem and getting the major side eye from folks feeling like a culture vulture and then dipping
9) seeing the best of the best of everything
10)the view from my friend's penthouse sweet in Brooklen
11) singing karoke at the penthouse sweet
12) the nice weather (i think Seattle has toughen my ability to not be cold all the time)
